Having some issues with the ESGA platform?
Got a problem with recieving prizes? Check out this article:

Hello players,

in the past months, we have encountered a few issues with players receiving their tournament prizes via PayPal. We would like to explain them and let you know what you can do to increase your chance of getting the prize flawlessly and quickly.

The main issue we often bump into is an error saying: “This recipient accepts PayPal payments only through their website. To complete this payment, please go to their website and follow their instructions, or email the recipient for instructions.” This obviously makes us not able to send the prize. There is a solution which works in most cases and it only requires you to follow a few steps:

Log into your Paypal account.
Go to Profile.
Go to Selling Tools.
Find the section called "Block payments" and click Update.
Go to the section that starts with "Block payments from users who:"
Find "Block payments from anyone using the "send money" tab." and before playing a tournament, make sure it is set to "NO".

There is also another problem with few countries having severe restrictions for using PayPal. Part of these nations only have a limit for the amount of money transferred, which is far higher than the prizes on ESGA and therefore don't affect us.

Everyone who signs to PayPal from Egypt will be immediately blocked. In Brazil and Turkey, it is not possible to make P2P transactions and PayPal is only allowed to be used for paying for goods. Also, if you live in Bosnia, keep in mind that your PayPal account can not hold the money and it is therefore directly transacted to the linked bank account.

As PayPal is a complex service, there are more issues that can sometimes pop up, but the aforementioned ones are the most common ones. Therefore, make sure that none of them affects and if you do not receive your prize anyway in one month after the tournament, do not hesitate to contact the ESGA support.

We hope that following the aforementioned steps will minimalize the amount of issues with sending the prizes. Thank you for your support and see you in the upcoming tournaments!
